 Alexis (above) is an Australian-born transgender woman on an acting visa in the US - and she is fully embracing her Hollywood trailblazer status.

After overcoming bullying, family struggles and discrimination, she is now living life on her own terms.

Before her move to Los Angeles, the West Australian appeared in popular Aussie television shows such as Wentworth and The Heights.

Going Blogless

Sorry I missed a day blogging yesterday. The day turned out to be much busier than expected.

In the morning, I ended up going with Liz to two of her Doctors' appointments. I was flattered when one of them even remembered my name.

In the afternoon, I watched the baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians on television.

And, at night, my partner Liz made me an offer I couldn't refuse...a dinner out if I went with her to her martial arts class. I did feel a little guilty when I upgraded my evening outfit a bit to go out. But what the hell is a girl to do? The whole day went well though.

To make up for missing a day, I thought I would pass along a little background and a picture of the beautiful Australian Daniielle Alexis cable television star:

Down under viewers are used to seeing her in prison garb as one of the inmates on the cable TV drama Wentworth.

But this week, Daniielle Alexis showed fans a different side of herself by pouring her curves into a busty tube top in a display of self-empowerment on Instagram.

With her ample cleavage on full display, the 32-year-old wrote in the caption: 'I questioned whether to wear this at first.'

Aussie millionaire comes out as trans

Australian multi-millionaire and financial wizard, Savannah Jackson, has come out as transgender on national television.

Jackson chose to go public with her transition on popular interview show, Sunday Night. The 43-year-old who runs the financial advisory firm, Trading Pursuits, with her former wife Julie, said she can now just be herself.

Savannah told Sunday Night getting to this point had taken years of counseling, surgeries and hormone treatments.

"It’s surreal that it’s here. Like it’s a dream, it’s a thought, it’s a hope and a wish that you have every single day of your life. And then, to actually be here in this moment now it’s just like every Christmas all come at once," Savannah said.

"I can just be myself and that, to me, has been the greatest single gift that I have given myself is the freedom to be myself."

The first transgender surgery patient to come to public attention – and notoriety – in the 1970s, Carlotta was the headline act of the iconic Kings Cross cabaret show Les Girls in 1960s and ’70s. The performer collaborated with writer David Hannam to tell her inspiring story. Carlotta will be a “universal story about identity, family, tolerance and acceptance”, the ABC said today. “Carlotta lays bare the life of a confused teenager named Richard, his flight into the hedonistic Kings Cross of the ’60s and ’70s, and his transformation into Carol.”
