Recently Transgender model Munroe Bergdorf  has taken on the giants of social media. This excerpt comes from "Reuters":

"LONDON, Feb 16 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - With online abuse pushing her to quit Twitter, transgender model Munroe Bergdorf has called for social media companies to act faster to tackle racism and transphobia on their platforms.

The Black trans model, who said she regularly receives threats and waits hours for racist comments about her to be deleted, called on social media firms to invest in minorities to design algorithms to better protect themselves from abuse.

"If you can censor a nipple and a picture gets taken down with a nipple on it straight away ... then why can't you develop an algorithm that targets transphobic speech or racism?" the London-based model asked the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

"If you're only investing in cis white men, or cis white people, to write the algorithms then there's a huge oversight there when it comes to lived experience and the nuance of hate speech," she said, using a term to describe non-trans people."

Spam, Spam, Spam

I just got really hammered on twitter with a spam trashing...even though I "supposedly" have a service that stops it.
A couple slipped through to the blog area which lists my "tweets". I removed that option totally.
I sincerely hope no one else saw it and pursued it as it wasn't me promoting a fantastic offer!
I wouldn't do such a thing.
Or knowingly pass along the porno trash I got spammed with.

Cosmo Missed One!

Cosmopolitan came up with this top ten list of the "Top 10 Lies Men Tell Women" because:
The average dude fabricates something six times a day-that's twice as often as women-and with #LiesMenTellWomen trending on Twitter right now, some dudes are being called out.
All the normal ones are on it like "I'm stuck in traffic" and "This will be my last beer."
The one they missed?
"I just tried on your clothes once honey. I hated it and will never do it again!"

Just a Tweet Away!

Sometimes I have a tendenency to forget about the growing number of readers here in Cyrsti's Condo that access us through "Twitter".
I did receive a comment from "Girl-Blossoming" on the recent "Male Privilege" post.
Very simply she said "What Privilege?"
Certainly, many of us agree with that or would argue there are intrinsic privileges which come with either gender.
Being who we are in the gender world as trans women or men, we just get a better view of both sides.
